Woman, Called and Sent—For Such a Time as This
This Magnificat Bible study has received the Nihil Obstat and the Imprimatur (©2021). It is a study of women in Scripture including an Introduction, ten Old Testament and ten New Testament lessons. The historical context and significance of the scriptures come alive in this Bible study with practical applications for present day situations.
The ten Old Testament lessons feature: Eve, Dinah the Daughter of Jacob and Tamar the Daughter of David, Tamar the Mother of Perez and Zerah, Miriam and Zipporah, Rahab, the Wife of Manoah and Delilah, Ruth, Abigail, Bathsheba the Wife of Uriah, and Rizpah.
The ten lessons featured in the New Testament are Anna, Peter's Mother-in-Law and the Women Who Served, the Ten Virgins, Two Widows, the Daughter of Jairus and the Woman Bent Over, Daughters of Jerusalem and Veronica, Sapphira versus Lydia, Tabitha and Priscilla, Mary–Wife and Mother, and the Woman Clothed with the Sun.
The facilitator set includes a workbook consisting of DVD teaching transcripts, printed lyrics for songs complementing each lesson and answers to the reflection questions. The set comes with a separate case containing the teachings (approximately 20 minutes) on six DVDs.
The participant workbook includes the Introduction, the same twenty scripture lessons, reflection questions, and printed song lyrics.
