St. Joseph is a man of silence and strength. On Pope Francis' table, there is a statue of St. Joseph sleeping. The Pope says, "Even when he (St. Joseph) is asleep, he is taking care of the Church!" The pope suggests that people leave a "note" under the image of the saint with their written intention. This replica of that statue is hand-painted with gold accents and measures 12½”L x 6"D x 3"H.
These unique statues are made in Colombia. Each one is individually hand-painted by talented women who are either widows, single mothers, or those who are sole providers for their families. Slight color and design variations may occur.
